Security

Honest protection for client previews

PixoProof layers deterrence and access control to reduce casual leakage — with transparent limits.

Dynamic Watermarks

Preview images can include client-specific watermark overlays so shared screenshots carry identifiable ownership markers.

Client-specific Protection

Access is scoped per client invite with session binding, reducing the blast radius if a link is forwarded.

Screenshot Deterrence

Visible deterrents, session policies, and platform protections combine to discourage casual capture — not eliminate every edge case.

Android FLAG_SECURE

The Android client can use FLAG_SECURE to block screenshots and screen recording in supported gallery views.

iOS Protection

iOS builds apply platform-appropriate deterrence and secure delivery patterns within Apple’s sandbox constraints.

Secure Media Delivery

Signed, time-limited URLs serve media over HTTPS with access checks on every request.

Limitations

What protection cannot guarantee

We believe in setting accurate expectations. No gallery platform can promise perfect prevention.

  • No solution can guarantee 100% prevention of screen capture — determined users with external cameras or modified devices may still copy content.
  • Web browsers do not expose the same screenshot blocking APIs as native mobile apps.
  • Watermarks deter casual sharing but do not cryptographically lock image files.
  • Protection applies to preview and delivery flows configured in PixoProof; downloaded originals depend on your album settings.
